The Fine Arts Competition at Odenton Christian School is an annual event that encourages students to practice their God-given talents and abilities, and nurtures the development of well-rounded students.

Sewing and Handiworks
Demonstrating skill and creativity, the sewing and handiworks of our students demonstrate their creativity beyond classroom norms.
Photography
Capturing the beauties of creation in creative, dynamic, and inspirational ways, photography highlights both techical and creative skill in our students.
Creative Writing
The written word and storytelling have always been a key part of the communication of truth. Our students’ writing ability has an opportunity to showcase itself during our Fine Arts event.
Vocal and Instrumental Music
Praising God with song and music is a fundamental skill and art at OCS. Whether it be through the demonstration of skill or the creation of new melodies, OCS students have the opportunity to showcase their skills here.
Speech and Poetry
Our Christian heritage is rich with poetry and the spoken word. Students taking part in OCS’s Speech and Poetry events have the opportunity to practice these important and time-honored skills.
Clay and Metal Crafting
Clay and metal crafting both represent skilled hands, invested time, and dedication to taking something formless and making it valuable. Students have an opportunity to demonstrate their skills at OCS’s Fine Arts event.
Odenton Christian School Fine Arts Yearly Event
The Fine Arts Competition at OCS is an annual event that encourages students to practice their God-given talents and abilities, and nurtures the development of well-rounded students. This school-wide competition allows students to create and perform across many disciplines including vocal and instrumental music, poetry and speech recitations, flat art mediums, clay and metal sculpting, sewing and handiwork, photography, creative writing, spelling bees, academic projects, and Bible memory and preaching. Students win awards in-house and the top winners advance to compete at our regional competition. In our Fine Arts Spotlight Nights students perform their competition pieces on stage and are recognized in front of their families and friends.

Fill out the required application form and upload any necessary documents.
3. Submit Application
Review your application, submit it, and pay any applicable fees online.
4. Schedule
6th-12th grade applicants, schedule student testing, submit a pastoral recommendation, and arrange a student interview with the administration

Elementary
The Elementary Department at Odenton Christian School is committed to offering a strong core of academic subjects while fostering a Biblical and Christian worldview rooted in the teachings of the King James Version of the Bible.
Secondary
The Secondary Department at Odenton Christian School is designed to prepare our 6th-12th grade students for graduation and provide them the completion of their foundational education.
